Malibu LT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,000 miles

This problem has occurred repeatedly on my Daughter's 2004 Malibu LT.

I found a response on another discussion board where someone said they had increased the fuse size from the stock 15 up to a 20. I don't think this is the correct fix because they mentioned that condensation on a contact ring inside the steering wheel was a likely culprit but I did verify that this solution works.

In my opinion Chevrolet should do a Recall on this problem since every Driver, Passenger and even the cars around this vehicle could be involved in a wreck due to there being no horn when an emergency occurs. This is very dangerous as my teenage daughter pointed out on several occasions where cars almost ran into her and she had no way to warn the other drivers.

I currently have 3 Chevrolet's and all have ongoing Electrical problems.

Just one of the many issues with this car. Be careful too before buying used Chevrolets, or new ones for that matter.

The fuse to my horn keeps blowing, everytime you have to lay on the horn because somebody has pulled out in front of you or is not paying attention the fuse blows and has to be replaced and of course the dealership has no idea why it is doing it.
