6/2014 I was driving home from picking up my granddaughter in Springfield Ohio and we stopped to get something to eat. When we went to get back into the car it wouldn't start. I would get this reading across my radio stating Power steering issue. I called AAA. Then called my boyfriend in Columbus OH. While waiting on one of them I go to O'Reilly's Automotive and had a worker come and check to see what kind of code it might tell them. They were unable to get a code. We sat there for 1hr until my boyfriend showed up and he messed with it and it started.
I call the dealer whom I purchased the car from 6/2004 BOBB Chevrolet and who has done all the work on my car since I bought it from them. They changed there name to BOBB Suzuki. 6/11/2014 I took it to them to repair the problem. They found other issue wrong which I will list later. BOBB Suzuki did a great job and I got my car back within a few days. I paid $1,200.00 for numerous repairs. I drove it a couple of days and got the error message again. It's like every time you get something fixed the sensors become a problem needing reset etc....
Two weeks pass and I get a recall in the mail for what I just had repaired "stating part are not available". GM states the recall was sent April 24, 2014. I disagree because I've gotten all the other recalls. Not thinking I need to do anything to get my money back. I just filed the recall with my other car paperwork. 8/4/2014 I call GM to let them know I had the repairs done by BOBB Automotive. The individual said "I had to take it to a Chevrolet dealer for them to repair and I would get reimbursed for my out of pocket cost. 8/26/2014 I took my car to Bobby Layman for yet another recall. I explained that I need for them to close my recall on the Power Steering issue so I can get my Money. He said "Bobby Layman will have to take the NEW parts off I just paid for and put NEW ONES ON AGAIN in order to close the recall and for me to get my MONEY! They can't do it yet because they don't have the parts. This has got to be the most RIDICILOUS thing I have ever heard.
I will be selling or trading this car soon. The way they are handling the recalls are UNEXCUSABLE!!! PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES! I DON'T WANT TO BE ONE OF THEM. So FRUSTRATED AND PISSED. I WILL NOT PURCHASE A GM PRODUCT EVER AGAIN. I'm going to let all my family and friends know too. :(
