The contact 2005 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that his fuel gauge indicated that there was no fuel or low fuel when the tank was actually full. The manufacturer referred the contact to the dealer; however, due to the cost, the contact repaired the vehicle himself. The failure mileage was 65,000 and the current mileage was 75,000. The consumer stated the fuel gauge read empty all the time. The consumer's son installed a used fuel pump and wiring harness. However, the problem continued. Updated 11/18/11
