The car has to warm up in order to be able to shift into gear. If it is warm or hot out, then it shifts easily into gear and I can drive but the car still hesitated for about 5 seconds before actually going into reverse. And when it is cold out, the car has to be warmed up before the button on the shifter can even be pushed in to shift into any gear and it still takes the same amount of time before it will even kick into reverse.
