I was driving on the interstate on 11/18/2012, when a car cut across all three lanes. It had not been raining, and the roads were dry, but when I applied my brakes to avoid hitting the car that cut me off, my wheels locked up sending me fishtailing at 70+ mph. I slid into the center lane, striking a vehicle on my right rear corner panel. I then repeatedly tried to pump my brakes and turn into the skid to regain control of the vehicle, and each time the wheels locked up again. After failing to regain control of my vehicle I hit the center guard rail, still going 60+ mph, collapsing the whole left side of my vehicle. After skidding to a stop, my "service airbag" warning came up on my center dashboard display, without even deploying. My car has been deemed totaled by insurance, and is no longer safe to drive. I was the only person in the car at the time, and emt's and fire fighters that arrived to the scene said if it weren't for the lack of cars on the road, I may not have survived.

Brakes light stay on all time, will not pass inspection. Chevy delear cannot fix.

The brake lights on my 2006 Chevy Malibu work almost completely opposite of what they should. Most of the time, I press the brake and the brake lights turn off, when the brake is released, within 10 seconds the brake lights come back on and remain steady on. When I go over bumps in the road, this may turn the brake lights on or off. Most of the time my brake lights are on, until the brakes are applied and the lights usually turn off. I have addressed this issue to no avail from the dealer I bought the car from, as well as with Chevrolet. I even brought it to a Chevrolet dealer after taking advice from Chevrolet to do so, and they cannot duplicate the problem to fix it. Their computer says there is not a problem, but there is!!! I have video of it too. This is always what is told to me, however, the second I get my car back, the problem occurs for me. I think this is total bs.

This has been a good car for the most part great on gas but last week the brakes felt real hard to push so I replace with new brakes front and rear the old brakes looked almost new now the brake tail light come when you start the car and don't go off unless you depress them. Drivers think your stopping when your driving and when braking they cant tell because lights go out.also for the past 3 years the power steering light comes on and you lose your steering control I wonder if and when someone has to die before GM recalls and fix the problems.

I have a 2006 Chevy Malibu that I bought in sacramento ca. Via paul blanco dealer on franklin and florin rd. (they are no longer in business at that site). The car accelerates dangerously when on cruise control. The car began overheating immediately after purchase (oil lube place detected an engine gasket that needs to be replaced because it continues to overheat; unless I keep the heater and or ac going; the steering column had to be re greased and re-adjusted at Firestone a few months ago because all of a sudden it would lock. The A/C compressor immediately went bad after purchasing this car. I had to buy another one which cost a good amount! soon after purchase (used vehicle with approx. 10,300 miles) the brakes went out and had to be replaced! in Jan. 2010, I noticed the seat belt light kept coming on, even after it was locked in (which is very dangerous because I don't know when and if its going to keep me safe when driving); erc. Etc.. I need someone to contact the dealer of Chevy so that owners can go get these things checked out and fixed the right way. I attempted to call the numbers given re: Warranty etc. And nothing was resolved.

Shaking in steering wheel when brakes are applied, this happen everytime I apply the brakes. The dealer resurfaced front rotors and replaced pads..car still have a grinding noise in front wheelarea dealer said that the replacement pads are causing the grinding and there's nothing that can be done to stop the grinding because of the way the replacement pas are designed. This car is not safe to drive and I told the dealership this and they claim it is safe.
