I was suppose to work night shift and i got stuck in the parking lot of the mall. the car has displayed this issue several times and after through research I have learned that this is a common problem with the Malibu where all of a sudden the car would not turn on. I took it to the dealership to get it diagnose and they charged me $135/hr. I have had this issue before and ended up spending a total of $1000 to get it fixed but the issue was not resolved after having it diagnosed by the dealership they told me they can fix this problem for $450. I was appalled at their pathetic attempt to earn more money when they knew of this issue.
The fact that they had our money to bail them out and they still have issues with their vehicles which they will not fix to dedicated customers. I have had nothing but a Chevrolet since 1995 (the year which we came to Canada in) but the fact that this problem persist and they want to continue charging me and others and not correct their issue, yet they were all too happy to see Toyota go to court and fail to acknowledge their own issues is just down right UNETHICAL.

Car would not start while at the park with my 10 year old son. Anti-theft lock light came on all of a sudden. I didn't know what was going on. Tried to start the car up and it was making all kinds of clicking noises. This was surprising to me because I just took the car to Hamiton Chevrolet in Sterling Heights the same morning. Started to get scared because it was getting dark and everyone was leaving the park. I read about the 10 min. rule and will try to start the car up today. Didn't want to show any fear with my son in the car. Called for help and the car had to be pushed home which wasn't far from home. Don't think I will ever get a car with anti-theft on a car again. I didn't understand because the trunk would open, the doors locks would work and then all of a sudden after trying to start the car in the dark at the park. The car went completely dead with no lights, radio or anything coming on. Just glad my son and I got home safe. Can anyone please give me a suggestion if the 10 min.rule doesn't work? Don't really have the money to get the car fixed. I was downsized from my job to only 16 hours a week.

I need help!!! I moved my car on Friday, went out about an hour later and now it won't work. Tried the ten minute thing it still won't work. The only thing that comes on is the dashboard lights. I have two keys, does anyone know if you use one key does it work and one key doesn't? I also have remote start...I am looking for any solutions helpful hints. My car won't even lock with the "bad key." I am so frustrated. It has also been really cold here so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Am I supposed to take it to the dealership and if I do that will they be able to tell me what is going on? ANYONE WITH ANY SUGGESTIONS OR WHO KNOWS A MECHANIC PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! I don't want to pay money to get it towed to the dealership just for them to tell me they can't freaking do anything!!! It is so frustrating and such a horrible piece of crap this is the first time this has happened to me.

I was in a parking lot with my children and the car would not start it went dead. I knew it was not battery because interior lights and radio was on. When I turned the key the dashboard lights went dead and nothing. I used the remote fob and locked and unlocked the doors a couple of times and the car started. This has happened several times. I had my husband take it in to the dealer and they said their was a software upgrade had this done. They could not duplicate problem. I had the car back for 2 days and some problem again. I used the remote to lock and unlock doors 1 time and car started. I had not idea about 10 minute wait but I did not need to wait when I used the remote.

Trying to crank the car is a headache everyday. And know it has gotten so bad that the car act like it don't want to crank like the starter about to go out. It's now dragging when you crank. I just need to see what the problem is so I can get it fixed. I'm trying to pass this car to my daughter in August so she can go off to college
