Most every time my car turns a corner, I hear a loud thump. I have complained to my dealer every time I go for an oil change, and every time, I am told not to worry. Hate it! Hate it! People who ride with me are concerned which makes me more worried, but once again when I ask the mechanic, he says Chevy screwed something up in the steering column, but it is not a dangerous thing.

This will be the second time that the intermediate shaft has been replaced. The first time was under warranty when the vehicle was at 33,000 miles. The steering column was replaced (71,000 mile)and reimbursed by GM not including the rental. The rack and pinon, sway bar links and bushing(at 81,000 miles) have been replaced and the front struts (@$1200.00)but the popping came right back.
GM customer service stated that it was "not a defect just noise." So who is the idiot here...if this problem is occurring in GM vehicles for at least the last 7 years, would that not indicate a defect, a design problem??????????????????? But GM customer service tries to convince you that somehow it is your fault.
GM customer service wants me to pay a $100.00 deductible to have the dealer replace the intermediate shaft. Why should I pay for the repairs/replacement which is clearly a GM issue?
Needless to say, now that I have calmed down, I will call GM customer service again to see how they arrived at the $100.00 deductible and see if they will replace this at their cost. This is crazy, thousands of GM owners have the same complaints and issues yet GM wants to talk to you as if you are STUPID!!!!!!!!!
RECALL RECALL RECALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having problems with my car when I turn my wheels they make a popping noise. This has been going on since May. Didn't start until after I got other recalls fixed and now this. I can't keep having this sh*t happening. What else is going to go wrong. I think someone should have to fix this at no cost. I don't even have this car paid off yet and it seems like one thing after another going wrong. So what is it going to take to get a good car that you don't have to put in the shop all the time. This has not been a cheap car. Something needs to be done. Why should I have to keep forking out money on this car and something else go wrong .
