The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger side bolts became separated from the rim of the tires. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that a valve stem extension was needed for the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 166,000.
