Right now I have the service ESC and service traction light on again for the 3rd time. I took each time to Chevy classic in grapevine tx and they told me no codes the 1st time, took it to clay cooley in irving--light came on then no codes they showed. Today 4-15=16 light came on again and I took it to classic Chevy and they found 3 codes this time. They say I will have to pay for this! I should not since there was an open recall on 5/14/2014 for 2010 Malibu's. my car is doing this now !@!!@ it needs to be fixed at no charge to me!! I feel like this is the most dangerous car on the road for me and my daughter. I don't want to be a statistic if we have a car crash and it was all because Chevy kept making excuses to not fix my crap car for me. The other recall was the brake system not illuminating I got that letter a little too late. Someone rear ended me in Oct 2012 while I was stopped at a red light. Maybe those stupid back brake lights were not working then!!!!!! someone at classic or clay cooolye Chevy needs to fix this ESC light on my car and fix all the recalls for free. I also have an eps recall letter that was sent to me but someone at Chevy told me the light has to come on for them to fix it. This is ridiculous. My car needs to be fixed for all these problems it has no matter if the light is on or not. But the light is on for service ESC and traction right now!@ GM or Chevy needs to pay for it and fix this car. The consumer stated the dealer did not completely fix the problem. They only lubricated and she continued to experience problems with the brakes, service light and ESC light. Also, the front axle was leaking.

I noticed while driving one morning my brake lights were illuminated, but I was not depressing the brakes. When I pushed the brake pedal, the brake lights went off. At this very same time when I tried to set the cruise control, it would not allow me to do so. This has been an on-again, off-again issue. Some days it works correctly but other days the same problem persists. I researched online and saw that there was a recall by GM for this exact problem, recall id# 14V252000, but when I called the dealership and they checked my VIN # they said that my car was not under the recall, and that they would have to take my car and see if it happens to them in order to fix it. I read the recall and it is exactly the issue that I am having. Please help and add mine, and I'm sure others, VIN#'s to this recall before something horrible happens!

The brake light comes on when the brake pedal is not being pushed. It doesn't matter if the car is sitting in park or being driven on the highway, the brake light stays on when the pedal is not pushed. When the brake pedal is pushed, the brake light goes off. Not only does that happen but the traction control light on the panel goes off for no apparent reason and stays on. This is a hazard as I have had many close encounters. The first time of the incident my vehicle was under warranty and the dealer applied some kind of lubricant. It worked for about a year then the problem occurred again. I have had an independent mechanic look at the vehicle and he replaced the brake sensor which did not seem to solve the problem. When contacted the Chevrolet dealer where I purchased the vehicle they have told me I would have to pay the diagnostic fee. I explained about the vehicle recall and was told my vehicle was not under recall. [xxx] are they waiting for an accident to occur or death before they resolve this problem. I do not think they know what the problem is theirselves. Why should I have to pay them again if this isn't going to be resolved. I am really frustrated with them. Really need this to be resolved. The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu. While driving approximately 35 mph, there was an abnormal grinding coming from the brakes when depressed. The contact also stated there was an increase in stopping distance. The dealer replaced the brake pads. The failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer four times where the brakes pads were continuously replaced but to no avail. In addition, there was an unusual clicking coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. The dealer replaced the front axle yet the failure persisted in the front driver side of the vehicle. When applying the brake, there was a loud roar coming from the vehicle and when activating the air conditioning unit, the contact observed anti-freeze expelling from the interior vents. The air bag warning light was also illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 700 and the current mileage was 7,600.
