rattling at 60 to 65, loud rattle when braking from 55 or 60

I have had the mechanic look and listen and drive it to hear the noise, it sounds like the front end is going to fall apart. He is trying to figure it out, but not sure what it is either. I try to buy american made but this car has really tainted my view of that idea. Perhaps I should go with a FORD. I will never buy another Chevy. It sucks
