I was driving home from work when all the lights on the dash board came on and the car went into engine reduce mode the car started jerking and the engine shut off and i had to coast to the curb. sit for 10 minutes the car started and i drove home which was a block away. The second time this happened my car went into engine reduce mode, did not shut off but I was only able to drive at a speed under 30 miles. the car was jerking all the lights on the dash were on. The esc and engine reduce was on the dash also. I took the car to a shop who could not find the problem with my car. HELP

my 73 year old mother drives this car, it is a 2012 Chevy Malibu that I bought for her. She has maintained the car very well. All of a sudded at 50,000 miles it just dies. She will crank it and pull away and then it just dies. I have taken it to the dealership three times now and they just tell me until it dies to the point that it has to be towed in there is nothing they can do. My 73 yr old mother can't steer the car without it running, she is now scared to drive it. I called the dealership back and all I got this time was, well trade it in. So I think I will do just that, but it sure will not be for a chevy product. Chevy can't see to make anything right.

I start the engine and the Engine Power reduced, service the ESC, and Service Traction ..the car has no power and shakes...run for some time and shut off...rest a few minutes and start again and it will run just fine till it sits for a time again .
