Malibu LTZ 6v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

MY CHEVY MALIBU 2012 LTZ WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START. I TOOK INTO CHEVY, THEY SAD THEY COULD FIND NO PROBLEM. A MONTH LATER TOOK IN AGAIN AND TOLD THEM IT WOULD DO IT ON AND OFF. THEY SAID I NEEDED RECALL PART REPLACED THROTTLE POSITION PLATE, BUT I HAD TO PAY $500 TO HAVE FIXED. WEEK LATER I WAS BACK AT CHEVY DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY THEN SAID I NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP, $700 LATER DRIVING HOME FROM DEALERSHIP CAR CUTS OUT WON'T START. FUEL PUMP IS NOT WORKING. $1200 AND THE CAR IS DOING THE SAME THING, CRANKS WON'T START FUEL PUMP WON'T TURN ON.

Malibu LTZ2 V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 41,454 miles

The vehicle failed to start again. This is the second time in 2 weeks I have had to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. I am beginning to know the tow driver by name. The last time I was told the fuel pump was bad and had it replaced. This time they are saying the rear fuse block is bad. I am very annoyed and upset with the way this vehicle is operating. I am still waiting for this to happen again and am worrying about the reliability.

Malibu LTZ2 V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,899 miles

The fuel pump went bad after only 41000 miles. I have owned many vehicles but have never had a fuel pump go bad in so few miles. The car was towed to the dealership and is covered under an extended warranty so only a $100 deductible. I am questioning the reliability of the car.
