One day I turned on the rear defroster and it wasn't working. I checked for a blown fuse and found the fuse melted in half. (I still have the fuse.) I replaced the fuse thinking I could save time doing that myself versus spending 2 hours at the dealership, but it still didn't work. I took it to the dealership, and they advised that, after talking to GM, the fuse box in the trunk would need to be replaced and that they would have to install a separate relay specifically for the rear defroster. I had to set up another appointment since these were special order parts.

So another 3 hours of my time and they advise me that only part of the defroster is getting electricity, so the whole rear window will need to be replaced. No damage was ever done to the rear window, i.e. no scratches to the defroster element, etc. But they said that a part that connects to the window itself had came off, and they couldn't solder it back on, therefore the whole window would be replaced under warranty.

What poor quality Chevrolet has become over the years. This is unacceptable. Think of the millions in warranty claims they could save if they used high quality parts versus the cheap foreign garbage they build their cars with. Will be the last GM product I purchase.
