I have issues with the only means of fixing this problem because the plastic connector part is not available which would have cost maybe less that one dollar, however neither the dealer nor any other aftermarket has this part available. I find it rather odd that with so many GM cars have been experiencing this problem on a large scale and that GM wont consider it a recall. I did not mind having to fix it, but to have to replace the complete linkage is absolutely horrendous. I have considered myself an ambassador for GM all my life, however this will give me pause for thought.
