I have taken this car to two different dealers. The first one had it a week and said they couldn't duplicate the problem. I took the car out for 10 minutes came back and had one of the lead mechanics take a ride with me. He said "I do smell something but if it doesn't go away bring it back". Really? The second dealer has replaced the coolant hoses to no avail. He has contacted GM and is awaiting a reply. At least he recognizes that I have a problem.
I have read about the issues with the Cruze Heater Box, I wonder if GM installed the same one in my Malibu

I purchased the vehicle one week ago. When running the heat, there is a strong odor that fills the cabin. I would say it is a plastic coolant smell. The smell worsens the higher the fan level. I am taking it to the dealer. Does anybody else have this issue, if so what was the resolution?
