It started to cut out randomly and then would come back on after a car wash or a really hot day. Sometimes it would stay on for the entire time the car was on and other times it would cut out after 15-20 minutes of the car running. I took it to a local Chevy dealer and they wanted 400 to "fix" it. At the time I was already using a speedometer app, so it didn't make a difference. I just made sure to gas up every couple days.
This seems to be a common issue and it surprises me there was not a recall. Most forums I have read, the person has gotten it fixed and a couple weeks or months later it is out again. Fingers crossed this is not the case. Circuit board medics fixed it and it has been working since I put it back in about 2 weeks ago.

My 2013 Chevrolet Malibu has needed a new gauge cluster for almost 2 years. Chevrolet continues to have no parts available to fix this problem. This is completely unacceptable. When I contacted Chevrolet directly, they only "help" they could give me was to tell me to contact a dealer. How is a dealer supposed to help fix a problem when they can't get the parts from the company? What a joke. Don't waste your money on their vehicles. They clearly don't stand behind them.
