The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20V674000 (suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact contacted bachman Chevrolet (9650 bluegrass parkway, louisville, ky 40299, (502) 632-0211) where it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the seat belt on the passenger's side failed to latch and unlatch correctly. The seat belt remained locked in the latch position and required several attempts to unlatch. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
