I bought this car brand new in 2014. Car now has 80K on it and I'm only around 180 lbs. No reason for this to happen. Chevy needs to take care and fix this. Obviously there is an issue with the seats. No seat should tear this much with these few miles on it. This is the 2nd new Malibu I have bought but I'm not so sure I will buy another unless this gets fixed.

My driver seat is tearing in upper back between the cloth and leather. My seats have cloth in the middle and leather/vinyl on sides. I only weigh 170 and purchased my car new in 2014. So 2 years old. The leather/vinyl on the bottom part of seat on the left is also ripping. It looks like a cat scratched the seat( which I do not own a cat) .

Let me begin by saying I'm 139 lbs. 5ft 7inches and there is no reason why my drivers seat should be ripping apart at the seam. The rips are in two places the drives seat and the rear passengers seat where my 7 year old daughter sits. I am very disappointed in the quality of Chevrolet products. I purchased this car brand new from the dealership. I have had numerous problems with this car, thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty. Let me add that all routine service and repairs were completed at the dealership only. This is my third Chevrolet and the last!!! If you are thinking of purchasing a new automobile, I do not recommend a Chevrolet.
Examples of issues: Brake recalls, P codes, Rip interior seating, Check engine light (headed to the dealership today), unprofessional staff,
