Less than 2 weeks after buying our 2014 Malibu (used) - we noticed that we had no traction at all (not good for being in MN). Thought we needed winter tires...while getting those installed, as soon as they jacked up the car, the back driver's side tire tilted down and you could move it with one hand. When the tire was taken off, the technician showed me the bolt that was sticking out about an inch. After the new tires we installed, we took it straight to the dealership. They checked it out, tightened and torqued it for us for free. Not long after - bearing issues in same wheel - not sure if related to the control arm issue or not. I reported that on here as well.
