Was 9 or 10 miles from home and ran a stick through inside sidewall of rear tire. Showed up on monitor I was losing air in one tire. Drove to parking lot to change it and looked in trunk to get spare out, surprise, no spare. Just a cheap air pump and sealer. No way was this going to fix tire as the hole was to big. Managed to get enough air in it and drove back home.

Next morning it was flat, called dealer to get a new tire, got no answer from dealership on phone. took tire off drove to dealership to get it fixed, used lady friends car. They had no tire in stock had to order it, waiting till next week to get new tire. I worked for GM for over 30 years and always drove their products and never in my life have I had this happen. If this is a sample of their shoddy work now it will be the last car I get from them. Have they resorted to the beginning of car production back in the 1920s???? Where do I get a spare for the next time it happens, heaven forbid?????

What genius company doesn't supply customers with a spare.. the air pump they give my be ok for a small hole but if you get a blow out on the freeway chances are the tire will be shot ..so the pump would be useless

Malibu LS 2.5L

Bought car April 17,2014. I was on my way to dentist 139 miles away . Had flat tire, mind you it was 108 degrees outside, went to trunk to get spare and jack. There was a cheap air compressor and a can of fix-a-flat, totally useless. I waited for husband to find a spare and jack from a friend. Another hour of waiting in heat! I called the dealership who said I have roadside assistance BUT WOULD BE 3 HOURS BEFORE THEY COULD GET THERE!! Husband changes tire with borrowed spare, drives it, get plugged, changes vehicles with me, and I was on my way 4hrs. late for my appointment!

The sales person or somebody should have made me aware that Chevrolet no longer puts spare or jack in brand new vehicles!! To me this is compromising the safety of anyone in the vehicle. I called dealership and he tells me to come back, 140 miles away, and he will give me a spare and jack from another Malibu. Too bad, so sad, for the next person that will buy Chevrolet and not be informed of no SPARE AND NO JACK!!!
