the fuel gauge is inaccurate. off by 1/4 of a tank
The dealer said they replaced the sending unit, but I have the same problem I have had from the beginning.
Currently, my fuel gauge is sitting between 1/2 and 3/4 of a tank and I have only used 3 gallons of fuel according to the car's Driver's Information Center. I have to drive it until the low fuel warning light comes on to put in over 10 gallons of fuel, and even then just barely over 10 gallons. The car is supposed to have a 13 gallon tank. After a fill up the fuel gauge will drop to 7/8 of a tank after just a few miles. This was supposed to be fixed by a computer update, but nothing has fixed this problem. I will drop to 3/4 of a tank on the fuel gauge after only two gallons of gas have been used. This will probably my last GM vehicle ever.
