This car is 13 mos old. I bought it brand new. Gaskets on the oil pan leaking, sounds very serious.

Problem noticed by the mechanic doing a routine oil change. Had an appointment right away and the work was done promptly. Minor leak only but would have been more noticeable in the near future. No griping, ranting or yelling. Just happy they noticed it.

Owned this Malibu less than a year and at 32,000 the engine had to be completely overhauled due to a cracked piston. 3,000 miles later I am driving down the road and hear metal grinding on concrete. Pull over to see a piece of metal hanging down from under the carriage. Had the car towed back to the dealership to be told that the metal piece is a exhaust plate cover that came loose AND my oil pan is cracked and needs to be replaced. We are trading in this weekend for a GMC Acadia, went from the Acadia to this Malibu and the Acadia had no issues so we are going back to that car. DON'T PURCHASE THIS CAR YOU'LL REGRET IT!!!!
