BRAND NEW MALIBU WITH A 169 MILES ON IT, WIFE WAS MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN LOSt POWER STEERING, ALMOST CRASHED. STRUGGLED TO GET VEHICLE TO SIDE OF ROAD, TURNED IGNITION OFF AFTER 5 MINUTES STARTED VEHICLE AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL, TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER NEXT DAY, THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE WHAT HAPPENED, BUT ON THEIR INVOICE THEY SAID TWO CODES WERE FOUND, FIRST WAS A UO420 {INVALID DATA RECEIVED FROM POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE}. IT SAID THIS WAS MOST LIKELY DUE TO A MODING ISSUE WHEN NOT ALL VEHICLES ARE ON LINE. PER GM TO REPAIRS TO BE MADE. SECOND CODE WAS CO56E WHICH MEANS CONFIGURATION ERROR, I ASKED THE SERVICE ADVISOR WHAT WAS DONE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM AND HE SAID NOTHING WAS DONE AND THIS WAS JUST A NEW CAR BREAK-IN GLITCH, HE THEN SAID HE DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN BUT COULDN'T PROMISE THAT IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. MY WIFE IS NOW SCARED TO DRIVE HER NEW MALIBU.
