This god awful sound started happening ( noticeable) while leaving a drive through at first sounded like a rock may have gotten lodged in between my breaks and after pulling out of line and applying breaks it basically had none just a horrible sound ..then once driving a block or two it was back to no sound and brakes working fine ..when I took it to the Chevy dealership ( no lights on the dash stating there was any issues ..told the service manager what exactly was happening ..he said they would call me once they checked it ..4 days later I was told my hubs and speed sensor (s) were bad ..after market covered that cost ..buttttt prior to taking to dealership it was put on machine and there was 2 stored codes of P0556 ( brake booster pressure sensor and P0299 ( under boost ) made the service manager WAS made aware of these prior to their diagnosis of hubs and speed sensor (s) was told this was the problem…now on day 9 was called and told YUP ..so the hubs and sensors were NOT the problem.. could I explain AGAIN what is happening????? OMG REALLY ..so I gave a run through to the best of my knowledge.
I've just lost 9 days so NOT sure where WE are really at ..but there’s something going on with the ABS per the tech ( still no lights on dash ) but pretty sure them stored codes are important..so after the service manager and the TOP technician talk it out THEY have agreed that I need 2 new tires and a front end alignment…cars fine I can come and get it ? NAH …still haven’t fixed the problem that somehow is now being brushed under the rug to need tires ( it has new hubs and sensors it didn’t NEED SO CAN WE QUIT GUESSING …I guess I understand to NOT understand WHY the actual codes are being dismissed rather then fixed and fixed proper ?? JUST keep guessing and replacing sh*t that it DOES NOT need and luckily my after market warranty keeps paying ..must be a costly or difficult job to fix the vacuum pump ( can hear metal in it ) So yes I've decided I'm not going to pick it up and drive it while waiting on what THEY believe is NOW the fix ..tires and alignment ( had to order the tires ) this will fix my ABS problem that I didn’t know existed…and YESSSS this is a certified Chevrolet dealership
