Malibu 1.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 83,000 miles

After one year I bought this car, about April, 2019, the car suddenly had the problem of engine power reduced and steering power reduced, I can only driver at the speed maximum 60 mile and I take the car to dealer, the dealer told me the battery is broken, and need to replace. I need to pay about $300 because the warranty expired.

Half year later, October of 2019, same problem occurred, and the dealer told me it is battery problem, and I need to replace battery. I told them the battery is under warranty, then they told me the battery is ok, no problem.

I take the car to other dealer, they ask me to pay $150 to check, and told me I need to replace battery control module and starter, it need $1250. I am not sure if the dealer can solve this problem, and I am disappointed about the quality of Chevrolet Malibu.

There are also strange noise from the bottom of the car, the dealer told me the car needed to service the brake. I am not sure if this is real problem.
