Malibu 1.5L

REALLY problematic car...but the most recent incident was (with no warning & feeling like it was driving normally) at an intersection, heard a pop/bang and then lost all gears. The car would not move on it's own power. There was/is a horrible grinding noise in every gear but Neutral. Even in "Park", the car would roll back/forward depending on incline. When in any other gear(not moving), it kind of sounds like rolling on just the rims. So the car is now dead, and I still owe money on the damn thing. I maintained the car well and most of the accumulated miles are highway miles. Never "red-lined" the tranny, and obviously not "racing" a modern Malibu. This is the last Chevy I will ever own. That's just one of the problems it's had since I was driving it...but the biggest, obviously. A late 90's Buick(3.8) lasted far longer than this thing...and was actually nice(r) to drive. I guess I should have expected this to happen from a company that decided to save a dollar and use faulty ignition switches, which killed over 100 people*. Gotta cut costs somewhere and that never ends well for quality, longevity, or the consumer. Thanks Chevy! Look elsewhere if you have a choice on your car...
