I RECENTLY HAD MY MALIBU MAXX IN THE SHOP, NOT A CHEVROLET DEALER. CHEVROLET DEALERS DON'T FIT IN MY BUDGET. THE PROBLEM IS WITH EMISSIONS. I HAVE HAD THE EGR VALVE REPLACED 2 TIMES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS. I JUST RECENTLY HAD THE VAPOR CANISTER VENT SOLENOID AND THE FUEL VAPOR PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACED. ENGINE LIGHT GOES OUT FOR ABOUT A WEEK OR SO. CODE READS RESTRICTED AIR FLOW IN EGR VALVE.
THE SHOP I TOOK IT TO SAID THE CARBON HAD BUILT UP IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND NEEDED CLEANED OUT. ENGINE LIGHT RESET AND STAYED OUT FOR ABOUT A WEEK. THEN CAME BACK ON WITH SAME CODE AS BEFORE. I LOVE MY MALIBU MAXX BUT AM READY TO TRADE IT AWAY. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
