I propped widow back up with several pieces of wood as the cable wrapped itself around the motor to the window.

This has happened twice on my passenger side and once on the drivers side. The problem is that the window regulator is made using metal wires to pull up and down the brackets that hold the window itself. Problem is, the brackets are made out of plastic. Since this is a coupe, it only has two windows that roll up and down and they're quite heavy. The plastic is always the first thing to give out and then the window just slips inside the door frame. You better hope that the impact doesn't shatter the window. Thankfully, both of my windows survived, but it's still a huge pain to keep buying a part that could easily be fixed if it used only metal and no brittle plastics.
