I took my vehicle to have service done on a recall involving potential under hood fire to replace valve covers. The oil was/is leaking onto the manifold and causing the car to smoke. I barely drive this car and it is still leaking oil onto the manifold and smoking. Now the dealership will not fix what they supposedly fixed.

I recently purchased a used 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo. However I have been having intermittent problems with the vehicle not starting.it has had the recalled ignition switch replaced but every once in a while the vehicle still doesn't start. I have done some investigating on the web and discovered it is a very common problem of many General Motors makes between the 1999-2004 modal years.the vehicles vats system (vehicle anti theft system)will not allow the vehicle to start.when the vehicle doesn't start I have to wait 10minutes and low and behold it will start.this is a very common problem that is not only aggravating but could be potentially dangerous if the vehicle needs to be moved in an emergency situation.please make GM recall these vehicles! sincerely [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I own a lemon of a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss. Nothing but problems since I bought it last year. Steering column problems, cost $200 to fix, catalytic converter replaced, covered by warranty thank god. Today it is in the shop again for leaky gasket and wheel bearing/ hub replacement which is costing another $500. This was bad because the ABS breaks didn't always work which was scary since I wondered when they were going to give out totally and I would be in an accident. The transmission solenoid also needed to be replaced which cost us another $700. Is there any help for us" I wonder what will be next with this car, it is a nice looking car, but it sucks mechanically!! please help! any suggestions"
