The transmission in this car is absolute garbage. Purchased brand new, at just over 40k miles and only 2 years, the transmission started slipping terribly, especially when starting cold in the morning and going in reverse, bucking on inclines, etc. Problem intensified, one dealer failed to find any problem, 2nd dealer found metal contamination (don't think they ever identified the exact issue) and had to replace the entire transmission. GM covered this minus a $400 charge, even though the car was out of warranty.
About 6 months later, car was back in the dealer with a tranny fluid leak. They repaired a seal and something else.
Now less than ONE YEAR LATER (car slightly less than 3 years old), with about 20k miles on this SECOND transmission.... EXACT SAME PROBLEM beginning with a tranny fluid leak AGAIN and slipping. Dealer claimed they fixed by replacing seal AGAIN. Within days it was apparent this was not the only issue. Car continued to slip when cold, until finally yesterday, just about a year later, the transmission just completely stopped functioning. Utterly ridiculous. I have no doubt this car is about to receive it's THIRD transmission with 64k miles on it. AWFUL.
