I own a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, the tire pressure low system malfunctions without any notice, if my car were a Impala GM would fix it but since it is a discontinued model they refuse to do anything. There is a great deal of discussion on the net about this issue along with remote start/ lock problem from what I understand that is a problem they do not honor.

My vehicle's tpm system was not reset correctly after tire rotation and gave a false reading to the tire being low, when in fact it wasn't reading the right tires pressure. After using manual tire pressure gauge, it was discovered that the tire I was inflating was over 65psi 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss.

We have a 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo which we bought in March of 2007 with 25 miles on it from maroone Chevrolet in fort lauderdale Florida after about 6 months the " service tire monitoring system " light would continuously come on. We took car into maroone in pembroke pines at least 5 times and every time was told it was fixed..needless to say to this day 1-25-08 it is still on we are taking it to the dealer in the morning again why I have no idea ! as of this time nothing is being fixed and we are being told it is ~ it is very frustrating and hurtful being lied to time after time.

Tire monitor system does not work. Dealer and Chevrolet both say they are aware of the problem and no fix is available. Both made it sound like a very recent problem but after some research of my own including your site, I have found consumers have been complaining of this defect for almost a year now. Are we to just to continue to drive a inferior vehicle, lacking in my case anyway, a feature that was a major part of my decision to purchase this vehicle" I don't know and apparently Chevrolet doesn't either. Shame on Chevrolet. How can they claim 100% satisfaction when they wont even tell us when a fix may be evolving" just smoke and mirrors.

Tire monitor system failed from day one. It has now been 5 months with no fix available. Affects the remote locks and starter as well. Need to be within 10 feet of car for it to work. Have had it in 3 times and they state they are waiting for a fix and bulletin. Help correct this someone. The dealer is getting no help from Chevrolet at all. Bad practice. I have own Chevrolet for 25 years with not having this much trouble fixing an issue. My dealer is always great it is on the other end they need help.
