Outer front disc pad wore completely out without the wear indicator on the front pads engaging. Resulting in dangerous braking and a very expensive repair. Dealer said that the calipers must have stuck resulting in the damage. If that is the case then every S10 pickup needs to be recalled. This happened on both the left and right sides at the same time. Since the wear indicators on the inner pads did not engage, it lead to an unexpected and dangerous situation with no warning.
