Tailgate cable failure on my 1999 Chevrolet S-10 for the second time in five years, the tailgate cables have snapped on my 1999 S-10. This is particularly distressing, since it happens when loading or unloading the truck, or when someone is sitting or standing on the tailgate, causing property damage to the truck or the person on the tailgate.
