S-10 Pickup Extended Cab 2.2L

There must be something that suddenly causes an engine that is turning over at a normal rate during the starting procedure to suddenly turnover 10X harder I'm sure it is electrical and I'm sure that is what busting starters in my truck I'd just like to find out what needs to be fixed so I can quit buying starters.
