S-10 Pickup LX 3.2L

  • Manual transmission
  • 148,000 miles

An oil pan should not rust out after 6 years, nor before the muffler or other car parts. I believe that the quality of steel used is the reason. In order to change the oil pan, the engine had to be pulled adding to the cost.
