The Chevy S10 pickup has plastic parts and one is the third door latch for the extra cab. This part is plastic pushing on metal and breaks frequently.

Found a milled aluminum 3rd door handle on Ebay. Cost $10 for the part on eBay and $25 to have someone install it.

The third door latch broke after we had the vehicle (used) about 11/2 years. We had a new one installed, it broke in less then 30 days! This is I am fully convinced a product of outsourcing and no quality checks. Also, this part is made of plastic! Bad choice if you plan on using the third door everyday.

Extremely cheap and flimsy plastic door handle breaks when any stress other than squeezing while gripping the outside of the door is applied. GM dealer calls this a 'wear item' ... NOT WARRANTEED. 3rd door handle broken, 3rd time
