S-10 Pickup LS SS 4.3L V6

1 st one is the paint is falling off in pieces 3 inch wide 6 inch long exposing bare metal and its starting to rust out. not too sure what to do...sand it all off and new paint? I looked but couldn't find any recalls on 2002 chevy paint. if someone has any help feel free to share. send to travis--martin80@hotmail.com thanx
