Silverado LT 5.2L

I can't believe Chevy is making us suffer for this pathetic paint job. My clearcoat started flaking off the hood and roof, and my truck looks like hell. I keep my truck in top condition and now this is happening. I've been buying Chevy since I was 18 years old. If Chevy doesn't cover this clearcoat problem, then this will be my last Chevy Truck. Chevy needs to take care of their customers and not screw them with a substandard product.

When you pay 17 thousand dollars for a truck that rusts out at 80000 miles it sort of pisses you off driving a vehicle that already looks 20 years old. I have always washed my truck and kept it waxed. My truck is not even paid off yet and looks like sh*t.

This is a major pain. The paint is cracking from the hood up the roof on the doors. It appears my only solution may be to have the entire vehicle repainted

I don't understand why everyone is having this problem with the clear coat. I personally think that we should all write Chevrolet and let them know what is going on. This is ridiculous!!! A 6 year old vehicle should not be doing this!!! If anyone knows how I can get this fixed for free please let me know!!!

the clear coat on the hood had what appeared to be a small bubble that just increased in size and number until the clear coat started peeling like cheap nail polish. Once it started peeling, the size got big really fast. Will take to dealer to try to fix it, but I think it should be at no cost to me. I had a Chevy van a few years back and the same thing happed to it only it started on the roof. What's up with Chevy and their paint.. Funny - the van and this truck - almost the same color paint...

whats going on with the rust problems. I'm always washing and waxing my truck so how can this happen when my truck is only 6 years old. i have rust coming out of the light fixture of the cab in the back of the truck. i guess you would call it outside cab light. and on the bottom of the back door where the cab ends and the bed begins i have a big rust problem that needs to be fixed right away or i will have a big hole in the cab of my truck.

Clearcoat peeling off and getting worse. My whole family has been big Chevrolet fans and now i have this truck that Chevrolet does not want to be responbile for the damages most likely caused from the factory.
