problem #7

Mar 162009

Silverado

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

Had the same problem, just cleaned the throttle plate and I haven't had a problem with it since. It's been over 10,000 miles ago...

problem #6

Mar 172008

Silverado LT 6.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

The problem was most obvious after sitting for several days. It never caused any incident but I was aware it could happen so I was very careful not to put it in a precarious situation (tight parking, heavy on brake when starting out). I resolved it cheaply by cleaning the throttle plate area.

Silverado LS 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

the gas pedal has stuck for a long time and repeated lubrication of the throttle cable and where the cable connects to the throttle didn, t work. Almost seems like I have a magnetic attraction to the throttle stop. Is that possible?

Silverado 1500 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

The gas pedal on my 2001 1500 Silverado with a 5.3L V8 sticks a little. When I go to accelerate it sticks causing the vehicle to jump when pressing on the gas pedal. Really gets annoying when stuck in stop and go traffic or in a parking lot.

Silverado 1500 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,000 miles

Sometimes my gas pedal gets stuck when i go to press it and its worse when the truck is in idle. I would have to press it really hard for the truck to go and it kicks in the causes the truck to jerk. What might be the problem?
