Silverado 4.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,000 miles

In shifting either between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd, the engine will sometimes race and I have to let off on the gas for the trans. to engage (auto tran). Besides being a Pain In The A__, it can be very scary. So far I have not heard of what could be casing the problem. Doers anyone know what causes this? I had taken it to the dealer twice when it was still under warranty, both times they said it was fixed, both times it WAS NOT FIXED.

So, don't bother to ask my dealer HOUTZ CHEVY in Gloucester Va. because they have no idea at all.
