Silverado 1500 HD 6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,704 miles

Putting Window up heard grinding noise had to pull window up by hand and then pulled the door panel off to find that the window cable was frayed and was jammed in the motor. Tried to buy new cable but was only sold as whole part with motor and cable.

well i see i am not alone in my problem. driver side window cable rusted in two on a trip to cabin in the woods and guess what? window fell down and it rained oh and another kicker the passenger side did the same thing within two weeks from drivers side, and chevy says they don't have a problem maybe they should read this website - it looks common to me.

well this is the last GM product i will own had too many problem with this piece of crap radio at 10,000 miles kept blowing fuses and heater burned up at 30,000 miles and it took out the switch rear brake line wore a hole in it due to engineered spring system vibrating on it this thing is a heaping pile i am going to trade it in on a new tundra this week at least the quality is there. maybe GM should stay gone and just go away. their products are terrible and they don't engineer things that stand up anymore, quality is terrible. Its too bad because it used to be a proud company now its just a joke!
