This is the 5th time that the ac stopped working . blows hot air on drivers side and cold air on drivers side. i called gmac to see what they could do and they offered me 500 dollars off on a new chevy truck and my answer was NO WAY !!! If they can't stand behind their product on this truck why would i buy another. There has to be a recall on this problem.

After short usage hot air comes out on driver's side only when AC is on.

Again, same problem with AC - heat comes on when the AC is on. Sometimes I can restart the truck and that fixes the problem, but lately, the heat keeps coming on and off on its own, but I have yet to determine a definite pattern yet. And sure as S**t, if I take in into the dealer, they will not be able to "recreate" the problem. This is my first Chevrolet truck and might be my last - first the speedometer goes out after 4 years and Chevrolet refuses to pay for fix since my vehicle was high mileage, now it appears that wiring/electrical problems are developing.

DRIVING, THE AC ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE GETS SUPER HOT LIKE THE HEATER IS BLOWING IN YOUR FACE BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE STAYS COLD. HAVE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND THEN RESTART IT AND IT WILL WORK FINE FOR AWHILE, THEN IT WILL DO IT AGAIN AFTER AWHILE OF DRIVING

Driver's side A/C suddenly becomes a heater that cannot be turned off without first turning off the engine. This is especially inconvenient when driving across the desert in the middle of August.

Driver side AC goes to heat. Turn off truck then restart to correct problem. Happened 5 times today. Not very happy with GM right now.

A/C on drivers side blows hot while passenger side blows cold. I can get problem to reset itself by turning truck off.

wire harness on the passenger side starting to melt/arc
from what I found here on this site, this may be the start of the fires that have been starting in the front of the trucks. Do I just hook it up and let it burn or do I FIX IT, from what I see Chevy don't seem to care that the truck burns up (it is to be expected). I'll probably get a new harness and fix it if I can.
