So much for a cd player that doesn't take cds any more. It will paly if it decides to stay in it but 90% of the time no luck.

I have gone through 3 cd players and am waiting on the 4th to be installed. They tried to say the problem was from home made cd's with the sticker labels. I've talked to several people who had the same problem that never use home made cd's.I Googled the problem and heard back that the cd's are getting hung up when you switch cd's or eject them. (Both have happened to me) I am trying to get Chevy to install an aftermaket of equal value. No luck so far. I know this is a small problem compared to transmission or engine problems but damn it pisses me off. thanks

Purchased this vehicle new and now have only 37,000 miles on it and the CD player keeps breaking. It has already been replaced twice and is needing a third new player as it is broken again. What the hell is going on with it? I rarely use it... First replacement was 22 months ago, second was 11 months later, and it broke again just six months later. Same issue every time: it will not eject a CD and then will not take another CD to play. Error message on display is always Check CD... I only played a total of five CDs prior to the last break down and it doesn't matter if they are store purchased or made at home (no paper labels attached)... Give us a real fix as it is getting expensive to replace with no warranty...
