In Maine we experience –temps (that’s below ZERO). When your standing in the minus temps with wind blowing it is a pain in the A... to take a 1/2 hour to fill your tank or even fill a 1/4 tank. The way it goes you pump for 3 seconds wait for 10 seconds to let it drain into the tank. And if you don’t get soaked in gas because you only waited 8 seconds, you continue the same process OVER AND OVER until you get enough fuel before you really get pissed-off.
With the rising cost of fuel and the fact that your standing there trying to pump it into your tank so you can get on the road to plow the white stuff it really gets to be a real PITA!
When I trade this chevy in it probably won’t be another GM product. Every time I call them I spend 45+ on the phone getting transferred all over the place or placed on hold (wonder why) and never getting to resolve the issue. (same at both US and Canada’s GM facilities)
This is definitely a SAFETY-RECALL issue. What’s GM waiting for: someone to catch on fire with the splash back or better yet freeze to the pump handle while getting set on fire?
