Had to take truck in for oil change.(in our home town) Mechanic said rear main seal is leaking. Took truck back to lot we bought it from and they said we need to put a "dye" in it to see where it is leaking from, bring it back in in about 200 km's. We live 2.5 hours from dealer, we can not just up and run. This time we went and looked a Fords, our nerves are running short.

2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z-71 4x4. It is sad that the rear main seal is leaking. On a 4x4 it is costly. GM should step up to the plate. Have spoken to other Silverado owners and it seems like a common problem on this vehicles no matter the mileage.
