This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
Everytime I would give it gas it would take 2-3 seconds for throttle to respond. Took to the dealer many times and they said it was the ECU on the gas pedal and that it was normal. There is no throttle cabe from pedal to throttle body. It's a another damn computer. Dealer told me I had to live with it. I did some research and found a product call Sprint Booster that eliminates the computer delay response from pedal to throttle body and it worked PERFECTLY! It is a simple plug and play and does not void any warranty. I felt instant crisp throttle response!!! Later found out BMW had this problem and installs them as an "High Performance Accessory" for $900. The product is now available for MANY vehicles. It won the 2010 SEMA award for best new product. It took me 1 minute to install. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Started when I was at work last month. Got in the truck to reverse and it completely shut off. It happened several times in a matter of 30 minutes. I called the Chevy dealership where I bought it and they wanted me to take it to them if I could and as soon as I could. It died 8 times that morning getting it to them, including as I pulled into the dealership's parking lot. No engine light came on at anytime. They hooked it up to the computer and nothing came on. They even drove it around for an hour or more (putting the mileage on it) and it didn't happen to them. So, of course there was no diagnosis and nothing they said they could do. Since then, it has happened several times. Next time it happens, I'm getting a lawyer if they do not do anything, it's that bad. This is the first truck I ever bought brand new and I did that for the specific reason of not having to deal with these kind of problems and to have a warranty...go figure.

Driving 60 mph and the truck started to lose power. Turned the air off but didn't help. Could only go 25mph and didn't want to shift.

After driving the truck for 10-15 minutes if I were to try to pass someone at full throttle, the engine will rev up but wont go anywhere. It will keep repeating this problem as long as i have the pedal at mostly full throttle. I am no where around the top speed limter. No engine light will come on which is the real annoying part, b/c of course the dealership will not be able to duplicate. The truck only has 18000 miles on it. My brother-n-law has the same truck with the same problem.

Found out the loss of power was due to the left side manifold. GM does not stock the part to fix this ANYWHERE!!! Vehicle won't go faster than 80km/h and you can't take it on the highway at all. This is our only vehicle that can hold the kids and GM says it's not an issue. My beef is, if you can't get the part, shouldn't there be a recall notice!!!!!
