Going down the interstate at 70 mph, the truck's locks started going up and down, the gauges were going crazy, the vehicle lost power, transmission stopped responding, all lights flickering and flashing on the dash. We pulled over and shut if off, started it back up again, and made it to our destination. Got home ok. We looked it up on the internet, and came up with a host of reports of the same issues from other people. This is nothing new to GM, although they won't own up to it. We took it to the Chevy dealership and they charged us $200, but didn't fix the problem. Within a few months, the truck started to act up again. We saw where some of the regions where the problems were occurring were wetter climates, and although we'd had an exceptionally wet May, Colorado Springs is high desert, so not a wet climate. Some days it was barely able to make it back into the driveway. We are forced now to pop the hood every day and push the fuses back down into the receptacles, which is what we suspect the Chevy dealer did for $200. Today it happened while on the interstate, but the fuses were tight. It normally happens when we go to pass someone and turn the left turn signal on, or just a simple left hand turn, in town, or on the highway. Got home and called Pep Boys, who have nothing to cover up, and were told this electrical problem is VERY common, and have scheduled a diagnostics w/history later this week. He said the vehicles normally have more miles on them when this happens and was surprised it's happening to us this early. He said the dashboards will literally giggle themselves loose and fall onto the floor while you're driving. This is just the reason why we paid $34K for this.... We've nicknamed this vehicle Christine because it's got an evil mind of its own. Pep Boys suggests getting a really good wiring person to do a redo on all the wiring and invest some $$'s into it because it has such low miles. The better option to me is to have GM fix their slop for free, or at least a HIGHLY discounted rate, since they're the ones who made such a pile of junk. Never buying a Chevy again. It should be much more dependable like the two Chevy trucks we'd purchased in years past were. It's not safe, and it needs to be. We use this truck for our construction business, and just had to call a customer, while on our way to their home, to tell them we were going to have to reschedule and take a different vehicle the next time. We're too busy to have these issues and be this inconvenienced.

This is the third time in the 4mos I have owned this truck that it has been possessed. The door locks will cycle ,and warning lights will flash and go back off. The truck will shut down and act like the battery is dead, only to restart after I shake the cables . The dealer replaced the ground cable this week ($295) and it started acting up again today. Tried to stall, door locks cycled, warning lights came on and immediately went back out and it scared the dickens out of me. I found out that the previous owner had similar problems and that the dealer did not solve the problem- replaced batteries 3 times and suggested he keep bringing it back to the dealer. Chevy must have an answer that would probably cost them money so those of us foolish enough to buy 'Government motors' will pay for it.

This problem has been going on for 6 months. I will be driving down the road and out of no where the doors will unlock and lock multiple times, all of the dash lights will come on, stabletrak will flash, all of the gauges will go all over the place and the AC will turn on. The throttle will be unresponsive etc. Then after a couple seconds everything will be normal. It also does it with the cruise control set.
I have had it in several shops with no solution. We have checked all of the grounds on the truck, replaced the crankshaft sensor and none of the issues have been resolved. I called the dealership in out town and they say they no nothing of this problem. I told them to go online and see the complaints about this issue because there are quite a few! I'm ready to go back to a Dodge and forget Chevrolet even exists.
