Silverado WT 4.3L V6

While looking on how to install a transmission cooler, I noticed that the bottom line on the rad (cool side) was rotting away where it is held by the retaining clip, how much do you bet that when I disconnect that line to install my cooler this line will fall apart! It is just like opening a can of worms, now I have to replace the power steering cooler and lines, transmission lines, or else no more confidence. I have had a 1974 Dodge that lasted for 14 years, an 1985 Ford 150 that I got rid of in 1993 because I never really liked it, a 1995 Sierra which I sold in 2011 because the clutch was gone and the differential noisy (now that was a truck I was proud of), I just don't think that this Silverado will last me 16 years? I'm thinking seriously of selling it and go back to Dodge, or maybe to Toyota? I have had a 1966 Chevy Malibu, 1968 Chevy Nova, a 1980 Buick Regal, and finally and not the least, a 1993 Chevy Cavalier, all these GM vehicles were faithful to me to a certain extent, enough anyways to keep me coming back to a GM product, but now seems like I will have to depart with my old beliefs and try something else. I haven't checked the brake lines yet, but it seems, according to my past experiences with GM vehicles since 2002, that fluid lines rot at the line retainers. Next time I work on the vehicle I will check the brake lines and come back with a feedback. A deceived Silverado owner!
