You would think that Chevrolet could at least make a large pickup truck transmission that could hold up longer than 102.000 miles. I 'll sure think about buying a Toyota truck the next time. I can't afford with my income to throw money away at fixing a 2010 truck with a new transmission. If Chevrolet had any morals, they would pay to fix this truck for me and others that lost their transmissions earlier than they should have.
I'll hold this against Chevy until they make it right with me. Rich, dirty, giant American corporations have become so cheap and greedy with all of us Americans. You all deserve to go under. Your products stink anymore and their to expensive.

I service my truck regularly. I drove it just an hour earlier and everything was fine. Luckily I was close to my home...at a stop sign when it just stopped. I was able to drive home 'backwards' and park. Unfortunately for me my Chevy dealer is closed on Sundays and I am helpless without my truck!
A mechanic friend explained that it sounded like a computer problem and even the transmission cylinder is only available from the dealer.
I'm no mechanic, but this is really unacceptable.

On our way to vacation in Daytona Beach, FL from TN. Driving on interstate with truck on cruise control at 70mph and the rpm's start going from 3-8 back to 3, so I take it off cruise and rpm's drop to zero back to 8 back to 3 rmps. Get off in Daytona head straight for Chevy Dealership to be told "transmission is burned up". Needs to be replaced! 3050.00 dollars and a few extra days of paying for somewhere to stay really killed our budget. Instead of having seafood & steaks we ate burritos and hamburgers on the dollar menus! GM received financial aid from the United States Government and this is the thanks American's get? Should I just boycott and never buy another GM made product? You are darn right I will. This Silverado was a problem from the beginning: the heater core was leaking into the floor on the passenger side with only 60 miles on the odometer, the rear window was not installed correctly and had to be fixed (60 miles on odometer) side back windows vibrated and needed repaired (60 miles on the odometer). So we probably should have given the truck back & got a refund and walked away. but the dealership kept fixing whatever went wrong and even warranted the heat/air conditioner and additional 40K miles above regular warranty. Now the passenger side window won't go down with the button on the driver's side but will go up with same button. Here is the kicker it is a 2010 Chevy Silverado LS it had at the time of the repair 81000 miles only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
