Love Chevrolet trucks, hell I've restored my 1950 Chevy truck but the Chevrolet of today is a far cry from the old days when they were really built like a rock...dash is ridiculous and not to mention expensive as hell to replace and a pain in the ass to do by yourself..do all of us who have stayed true to our American made Mexico brand a favor and fix the problem instead of deferring the blame. Everyone knows it's a poor design and faulty material issue just own up to it and move on..then at least I could tell all my Ford buddies that Chevy stands up and takes care of its problems.

cracked dash

It can't be normal for this to happen to so many Silverados. Half tempted to switch to Ford. I even use the sun reflector on my dash when my truck is parked.

Silverado LT 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 22,654 miles

Dash has been cracked on the drivers side behind the steering wheel in 2 places and rattles when going down the road and is extremely annoying. It is also cracked above the passenger side airbag. I am concerned about this being g a safety issue if I were in an accident and the airbag were to deploy.

We have a 2011 Chevy Silverado that has a cracked dash. It has been replaced once before after I bought it under warranty and Ferman Chevrolet did the replacement. Now I have the same issue in the same location near the passenger air bag....how do I get mine covered in this class action suit?

Silverado V6

  • Automatic transmission

Looking all the complaints I do notice a few other people show the same complaint as I have. Passenger dash cracked right by the airbag. Dash is always covered no direct sun light polished this should never have happen. Chevy needs to have a recall and fix the problem. If that airbags goes of with the dash cracked I feel it will cause more problems to the passenger.
